GreenCamUz Training Course at Opole University of Technology

May 18, 2026 | Opole University of Technology, Opole, Poland

The 5-day training course of the Erasmus+ CBHE project “GreenCamUz – Green Campus Initiative: Integrating Sustainability into Higher Education in Uzbekistan” was successfully held at Opole University of Technology from 18 to 22 May 2026.

The programme brought together representatives of consortium partner universities from Uzbekistan, Poland, Lithuania, and Türkiye to exchange knowledge and best practices in the field of sustainability and green transformation in higher education institutions.

Throughout the training course, participants explored key topics related to the development of Green Campus strategies, sustainability-oriented curricula, quality assurance and monitoring systems, and the integration of sustainable development principles into university management and academic activities.

The programme combined expert lectures, practical workshops, group discussions, and study visits. Participants engaged in sessions on sustainability-focused syllabus development, green economy education, Green Campus concepts and challenges, eco-driving techniques, sustainable mobility, and environmentally responsible practices. A study visit dedicated to wastewater treatment solutions in Opole also provided valuable insights into sustainable environmental management.

The training course served as an important platform for strengthening international cooperation among consortium members, fostering the exchange of experience, and enhancing institutional capacities for implementing sustainability initiatives within higher education institutions in Uzbekistan.

The knowledge and practical skills gained during the programme will contribute to the successful implementation of the GreenCamUz project objectives and support the long-term development of green and sustainable campuses across partner universities.
